I can't believe Thanksgiving has already past and the Christmas season is upon us! This year is going by fast and I guess if you are a teacher, the time is measured by holidays and vacations!
Thanksgiving was great, my parents and I went to my Aunt Dee's and Uncle George's in San Antonio. My cousin Steve was there too and no kids! The girls went to Dallas to visit the Johnson's and Ramsey, Steve's daughter was with her mom's family. Our Dinner was superb and I think I tasted everything on the buffet! My Aunt Dee makes this sweet potatoe dish, that is more like a dessert than a starch and the cornbread stuffing....yum-o! I think Steve put's sausage in it and boy that was good.
We also had great conversations, catching up on events and happenings and sharing dog stories too! For there to be so many different breeds in the world, it's amazing they are so much alike, I think for humans it's the same. Even thought we have differences, we still are all so much alike.
I am looking forward to the Christmas Season. Even though we "draw" names for gifts, I am still getting everyone in my family a gift. I have already bought quite a bit. Which I am so glad for, it's not even December 1st yet! And my Nee-Nee would be so proud of me too, I already have my Christmas Cards and I just made holiday labels featuring my dogs! Ready to go! In honor of her, I will plan to get those out this week! Thanks NN!
Oh, one last thing, Tiffany and I are volunteering to wrap gifts at Barnes and Noble in the La Frontera on December 15th. If anyone is out and about, stop by, I think I signed us up for noon or so! I am taking the day off, since I have a doctor's appt. So, I thought we should give back to the wonderful rescue group who found me my Tiffy! I swear, she makes me laugh everyday, everyday! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I hope your Holiday Season is just as delightful! Enjoy!
