Helping Hands Basset Rescue

Last week, Tiffy and I wrapped presents at Barnes and Noble to help raise money for the Helping Hands Basset Rescue. Last year, I wasn't able to do it, just because of scheduling but this year I made the time and was excited to participate. I don't know if Tiff was, but she did get lots of oooohhs and ahhhhs and lots of petting.

It's very interesting to see and hear people's reaction to Basset Hounds. They are surprised at how big they are and they always talk about their eyes and ears! Oh, and someone made a comment about Tiffy's weight! Do people have filters? You don't ask a female how old they are and you don't say the f- word! Tiffy is very comfortable in her own skin and is very happy with her curves! Just like all human women should be! Easier said, than done!

So, as we are hanging out in the entry-way of Barnes and Noble, this cute family comes up to pet the dogs. A new foster, Tabitha is there and this little boy kneels down and let's those two dogs lick all over his face! He is right at their eye-level and those two girls lick his mouth, his eyes and he is just loving it! I couldn't get my camera out fast enough but I did get one picture. Here it is and it's adorable!

Enjoy!
