New Year same Resolutions

So who actually follows their new year resolutions? I guess we all try, at the beginning of the year. I was just talking to my Mom and we decided we would start our diets on Monday! No, sense in starting on a Friday, we still have leftovers and I still have some chex-mix! I have got to get that out of my house....and soon. So, I better eat it.

I am sure I have the same resolutions that I had last year. Loosing weight is always a resolution. I guess I better really stop smoking for good this time. I did quit for a year but I have been smoking lately. I thought at first that if I didn't buy them, then I wasn't really back to smoking but I think if you inhale, that is considered smoking! The things we tell ourselves!

So, I did have two new ideas, I tried to keep a conscience track of them last year but this year, I am going to document on my blog, the days I do not go on a walk with the dogs and I am going to list the books I read (or listen) to by month.

I thought I would take off on President Elect Obama's Yes, We Can! slogan and change my to Yes, we Did! I am not sure how I will document our walks, I did decide today I will make it longer and start wearing my heart-rate monitor watch again and I did add a calendar to my blog. But other than that, I am don't know how I will track my non-walks! I'll think about it.

I started my book list last year, but I forgot a few titles that I had read and couldn't remember the order. Now, this is a good time to start my new list of books. I am just about finished with Three Cups of Tea and will be starting Dewey, the book about the Library Cat -Sounds great. So, I have already added that to my new 2009 Book List.

The reason I am listing my books per month is not because, that is a great talent to read a book a month. I know people who can read a book in a weekend but I wanted to document the books I read in one year. I am not really a slow reader but I only read at night and it takes me about a month to finish a book; because I fall asleep and the book hits me in the face! I am surprised I didn't get a concussion when I read Edgar Sawtelle! That's a big book!

Those are my new and not so new Resolutions. I'll keep posting about my non-walks and my books-Enjoy!
